        Equipment Installation Engineers Required across England due to recent retirement and expansion.

        Do you have any of the following experiences / skills:

        The Role

        The job involves working on various projects nationwide, as part of a team installing Garage equipment into new and existing Motor vehicle workshops.

        Responsibilities include:

        • Installation of garage equipment products including Vehicle Lifts, Brake Testers, Oil Dispensing Equipment, Exhaust Extraction Systems, Compressed Air etc.
        • Carry out diagnostic / repair of a wide range garage equipment.
        • Commissioning of installed equipment.
        • Completion and submission of accurate paperwork.
        • Compliance to laws and regulations covering Health and Safety within the workplace.

        Person Specification

        • Must posses CSCS card (or equivillent)
        • Prepared to travel with overnight stop overs within the UK
        • Weekend work only on voluntary basis
        • Full clean driving licence
        • Works well within a team of other engineers and Project Management.
        • Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
        • Posses’ good communication skills.

        Package

        • Attractive salary dependent on experience and qualifications. Current achievable earnings (dependent upon skill level) - £50-60k per annum
        • 23 days holiday + bank holidays
        • Equipment provided: fully equipped company van, PDA, mobile, branded workwear & PPE.
        • Training is provided.

        Who we need. Is this you?

            • Good working knowledge and experience of the Mechanical Engineering environment, including Hydraulics and Pneumatics and/or a good understanding of Electrics.
            • Experience of garage equipment servicing, repairs, troubleshooting and problem solving, with 2+ years of direct experience.
            • Can communicate with customers and colleagues - this is a front-facing role.
            • You will possess, and know how to use, a good range of mechanics tools.
            • You will be looking for a job that is different everyday.
            • You will see challenges instead of problems.
            • Self-motivated and ability to work unsupervised.
            • Fully clear UK driving license is required.
            • Prepared for occasional overnight stays from home if required.

        The Job

        Using home as your base, travelling to workshops to carry out maintenance/calibrations and breakdown repairs on Garage Equipment including Vehicle Lifts, Compressors and MOT Equipment.

        About the Role

        As a Garage Equipment Salesperson, you’ll be a key part of the company sales efforts, helping garages, workshops, and automotive businesses from the midlands down the country to find the right equipment to enhance their operations. From MOT bays to wheel aligners, vehicle lifts to workbenches – you’ll be an expert in delivering tailored solutions for our customers’ needs.

        Key Responsibilities

          • Sales & Customer Service: Develop and manage client relationships, identifying their needs and recommending the right products and solutions.
          • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the latest garage equipment, DVSA regulations, providing technical expertise and demonstrations.
          • New Business Development: Actively seek out new sales opportunities, both in person and via phone, email, social.
          • Target Achievement: Meet and exceed sales targets by identifying potential customers and closing deals.
          • Team Work: Working in partnership with the wider Straightset team to deliver projects on time, to specification for customers, including the drawing office, installation co-ordinators and installation teams..

        What we are looking for

            • Experience in Sales: Previous experience in garage equipment sales is a bonus, but we’re open to enthusiastic sales professionals with experience in workshop equipment and the wider motor industry.
            • Technical Aptitude: An understanding of workshop equipment, ideally the full range, but technical expertise in a specific product range, with strong desire to learn the technical side of our full range of products.
            • Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to build rapport with clients and provide clear, professional advice.
            • Self-Motivated & Target-Driven: You’ll need to be proactive in driving your sales and meeting performance goals.
            • Driving License: A valid driver’s license is essential, as you’ll be visiting customers at their workshops..
